V K Industries (VKI), a partnership firm, was set up in the year 1988 at Adoni by Sri Vitta Kristappa and Sri Vitta Satish Kumar. VKI is primarily into processing oilseeds. Later, in the year 1991, a Solvent Extraction Plant was set up in the name of V K Extractions (VKE)
.V K Group has rich experience in processing Groundnut, Sunflower, Castor, and Cotton seeds. We are proud to have the experience of job processing for conglomerates such as M/s Agro Tech Foods Limited, an affiliate of ConAgra Foods, USA, and the Australian Wheat Board.
In the year 2016, the Cotton Seed Scientific Processing unit with a capacity of 200 Metric Tons/Day was established. Currently, VKI is processing cotton seeds.
"Sri Vitta Kristappa born in the year 1934 hails from a place called “ASUNDI “a part of the Bellary district (in Karnataka now). He started his career in the year 1953 and was associated with Automotive Finance, Contracts, Oil milling, etc. businesses. He was elected as Chairman of Adoni Municipality in three terms 1967 – 72, 1981-86 & 2005 – 2010."
"He is a Chemical Engineering graduate from Manipal Institute of Technology and joined his father in the business in the year 1984. He secured a Gold medal from the University of Mysore. He is the backbone in setting up and managing the business to date. His deep knowledge and experience in various subjects are the stepping stones for the success at V K Group. He has rich experience in the field of edible oil production and market dynamics."
